This comprehensive review is designed to help you pass your Obstetrics and Gynecology board exams as well as to update your clinical knowledge and, thus, is useful to practicing physicians as well as senior trainees. Many of our previous participants found the course provided them with improved diagnostic and testing strategies, a better understanding of all major relevant disease entities, and helped them recognize specific areas of knowledge weakness for self-study. The course includes lectures that review the entire field of Obstetrics and Gynecology with emphasis on evidence-based medicine and board-relevant standards of care, incorporating new concepts, guidelines, and treatments. Many of our previous participants found the course provided them with improved diagnostic and testing strategies, a better understanding of all major relevant disease entities, and helped them recognize specific areas of knowledge weakness for self-study.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this course each participant will be able to:
1. Summarize important aspects of pre-conceptual health, pregnancy, labor and childbirth, postpartum care, genetics, genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis
2. Demonstrate an updated understanding of women’s health, in general, and evidence-based strategies for the care of reproductive organs and breasts as well as maintenance of sexual function and screening for cancer
3. Discuss evidence-based practice strategies for management of hormonal disorders, treatment of infections, surgery to correct pelvic organ and urinary tract problems as well as cancer treatment
4. Incorporate the latest clinical guidelines discussed in your practice of Obstetrics and/or Gynecology
