Designed for health professions educators who are involved in designing, implementing, and managing workplace assessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Objectives:
participants will
– Gain oversight of the evidence from the literature on the development of workplace based assessment in health sciences education
– Develop deeper understanding of the purposes of WBA
– Become familiar with a range of WBA tools
– Become acquainted with the literature on effective feedback
– Acquire skills in observation, scoring and feedback in the workplace setting
– Develop insights into managing systems of WBA, portfolios and the use of technology
