Difficulties in reading comprehension are often due to misrepresentation of the utterance. Reading is not questioned but comprehension is disturbed sometimes generating fanciful interpretations.
This book therefore aims to help children from CM1 to 3rd for whom access to reading comprehension remains difficult.
Through 130 exercises, this book provides the keys to understanding the different types of texts: descriptive, informative and argumentative narratives.
Each text is accompanied by two images and the reader will have to establish a relevant link between the statement and the corresponding drawing. The statements are followed by questions of two kinds: some to ensure that the coherence of the text has been established or to force the child to have a process of understanding and others which solicit the judgment of the young reader in encouraging him to make the connection between what he reads what he knows what he lives (or has lived) and by getting him to give his opinion. Answer keys are available at the end of each chapter.
The book is completed by a minisite containing all the exercises and allowing the professional to print each exercise sheet separately.
This 3rd edition, targeted at children, has been enriched with around thirty new exercises. It excludes texts for adults which will be the subject of a specific work.
