The complexity of decision making in thoracic surgery is growing exponentially. Features: The book is well organized according to the different areas of controversy in thoracic surgery. Each chapter covers a very specific area and offers a generous list of pertinent citations. The candid discussions are supported by the science and available clinical evidence.
Assessment: Of the 50 chapters in this edition, 35 are new, while the remaining chapters are written by new authors. Practitioners and trainees in thoracic surgery will find this an important book for keeping up with the latest, evidence-based recommendations as well as getting practical and candid advice they can use in clinical practice. This update is essential in this rapidly changing field.
